Acordo de Munique


29 de setembro de 1938 – Adolf Hitler, chanceler da Alemanha, Neville Chamberlain, primeiro ministro da Inglaterra, Eduard Daladier, presidente do Conselho de Ministros da França e Benito Mussolini, Duce da Itália, assinam o Acordo de Munique.

Neste acordo, os imperialismo inglês e francês decidiram juntamente com os imperialismos italiano e alemão, o desmembramento do que era, então, o Estado da Tchecoslováquia, a pedido dos alemães. O governo tcheco sequer pôde participar da reunião. Esta política foi concebida como um “acordo de paz” entre as nações imperialistas às custas da nação mais fraca, logo depois da anexação da Áustria (Anschluss) por Hitler. O acordo estipulava que a Alemanha desistiria de reivindicações territoriais.

Na realidade, constituiu-se um jogo de cena às custas do povo tcheco, que levaria à II Guerra Mundial. Em março de 1939, Hitler ocupa toda a Tchecoslováquia e em setembro a Polônia, o que leva a Inglaterra e a França a declarar guerra à Alemanha.
